Gurdwara Dukh Nirwaran Sahib, located in the heart of England, is a sacred and welcoming place of worship for followers of the Sikh faith and for anyone seeking peace, spiritual guidance, or community connection. Rooted in the values of equality, humility, and service, our Gurdwara serves as a spiritual home for Sikhs and a hub of cultural and charitable activities for the wider community.
Established with a vision to uphold the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the ten Sikh Gurus, Gurdwara Dukh Nirwaran Sahib stands as a symbol of unity, compassion, and seva (selfless service). The name Dukh Nirwaran translates to “remover of suffering” — reflecting our mission to support individuals on their spiritual journey and offer solace during difficult times.
This Gurdwara is owned by Sardar Jagir Singh and is thoughtfully managed by Sardar Navdeep Singh, who together ensure that the day-to-day operations, spiritual programs, and community services align with Sikh principles and values.
Gurdwara Dukh Nirwaran Sahib offers various spiritual services to the community. This organization plays a vital role in catering to the religious needs.
We facilitate the organization of Akhand Path, Sehaj Path, Sukhmani Sahib Path, Anand Karaj, and various other events.
We facilitate religious ceremonies related to funerals and provide a location for the scattering of ashes into water.
The Gurmat Academy, managed by the Gurdwara Ontario Khalsa Darbar, provides Punjabi language classes, music lessons, & more.
We coordinate community initiatives in partnership with relevant departments, such as blood donation drives and SIN camps, among others.

The gurdwara is open to visitors from 4:00 Am AM to 9:00 Pm daily. It is particularly busy on Sundays and during major Sikh festivals such as Vaisakhi, Diwali, and Guru Nanak Gurpurab. We encourage visitors to arrive early on these days to participate fully in the events and services.
Visitors are requested to wear modest and respectful attire, covering their heads with a scarf or turban (available at the entrance) and removing shoes before entering the prayer hall. It is also customary to wash your hands before entering. Please refrain from bringing tobacco, alcohol, or any intoxicants into the gurdwara premises.
